Both honeybee experience farm tours are generally offered weekly from June to late September. These tours are not geared for children under 7 years old. If you'd like to give a farm tour or workshop as a gift to someone special we have gift certificates available at the farm shop.

Farm tours and workshops must be booked online. Booking is not available via telephone or while visting the farm.

Tours about 80 minutes in duration. Veils are available. Workshops are guided by our head Apiarist. Both tours and workshops are geared to adults; however, younger participants over 7 years old are welcomed.

Topics covered include the following:
• Tour of the stable, main bee yard, mating yard, & haskap orchards
• Introduction to horses, feed the horses apples or carrots
• Discussion of the flowers & trees in bloom and what to plant in your garden to help bees
• Beehive terminology, equipment, challenges and lifecycles
• Lesson about how honey is made and extracted and a look in our honey extraction facility
• We'll open a live hive to see the types of bees and the queen (weather permitting)
• Discussion of the products from the hive
• A honey or mead tasting!
