Agritourism
We offer a few ways that you can participate in agritourism, enjoy being on a farm, and learn about agriculture. You might wonder why you might want to bother visiting a farm? Here are some of the reasons:
- You get so see how food is grown and prepared and you usually can pet and feed our horses and get to see how honeybees live and work together.
- You'd be supporting a local business. Farming at small scale is not an easy business and agritourism provides some additional income for us farmers. We in turn invest this back into our operations and this provides more jobs and food for our community.
- It's environmentally friendly. We minimize the footprint of visitors and only offer tours when it doesn't adversely affect the local environment or farm operations.
- You get to learn about Richmond Hill's past agricultural heritage and what is going on now.
- You get to experience the Oak Ridges Moraine countryside and enjoy its natural beauty
- Taste local products: Sample organic and environmentally-friendly products
We enjoyed hosting a bunch of amazing performers this summer. Music at the meadery will be back but on Sundays in 2025 (maybe some Saturdays too). The bar is open year-round but the kitchen is now closed until May 2025.
